So the story goes like this.
Once upon a time, a principal in a school in Louth, Ireland popped his head into second class and told the teacher to prepare something for the school Christmas concert. Fed up of teaching the children the usual Christmas songs she decided to write a new one. Using the keyboard in the classroom, the teacher and the children worked through the ideas for the song. Fast forward a few late evenings at school for a week and ‘Nearly Christmas’ was done! A brand new Christmas song written in a classroom.
